Carrie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds: Mother and Daughter

Carrie Fisher (age 60) and her mother Debbie Reynolds (age 84) died within 24 hours of each other in one of the most poignant and strangest coincidences ever recorded.

According to the AP, fans gathered around Debbie Reynolds star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Wednesday night, to remember the acting and dancing legend. Reynolds died on Wednesday at the age of 84, one day after the death of her daughter, actress Carrie Fisher.

According to the Associated Press, the planning that had started Wednesday for Fisher’s funeral was interrupted when Reynolds suffered a stroke while they were talking about it at her son Todd Fisher’s Beverly Hills home.

Now it seems likely it will be a double funeral; Fisher and her mother were so close, especially in recent years, they lived next door to each other.

It is a sad day as the passing of another set of iconic stars. They will both be missed, and if you believe in the happy beyond, you will probably feel that they’re together again. I certainly hope so.
